Witnesses for Justice and Peace
The Islamic-Catholic Liaison Committee which meets annually held its fourteenth meeting in the Vatican, on 11-13 June 2008 in which they discussed and agreed on pertinent issues affecting the global community. The Catholic Delegation was headed by H.E. Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, Vatican City, while the Islamic Delegation was headed by H.E. Prof. Dr. Hamid Bin Ahmad Al-Rifaie, President of the International Islamic Forum for Dialogue, Jeddah-Saudi Arabia. The theme was "Christians and Muslims as Witnesses of the God of Justice, of Peace and of Compassion in a World Suffering from Violence".The topic was treated from a religious point of view according to the teachings of our two religious traditions. Both sides agreed on the following points:
1.From the inherent dignity of each human being stem fundamental rights and duties. 2.Justice is a priority in our world. It requires, beyond the implementation of the existing legal provisions, the respect of the fundamental needs of individuals and peoples through an attitude of love, fraternity and solidarity. There can be no true and lasting peace without justice. 3.Peace is a gift from God and also requires the commitment of all human beings, and particularly believers, who are called to be vigilant witnesses to peace in a world afflicted by violence in many forms. 4.Christians and Muslims believe that God is compassionate and therefore they consider it their duty to show compassion towards every human person, especially the needy and the weak. 5.Religions, if authentically practiced, effectively contribute in promoting brotherhood and harmony in the human family.

IRISH YOUTH REBOUND AFTER ATTEMPTS TO SECULARISE IRISH SOCIETY FAIL.
FOR YOUNG IRISH EVEN HI! CAN BE A PRAYER
Our research team has been out and about and found that for the vast majority of young Irish people God is not dead as some wish but is alive and well.
Predictably there have been changes in the nature of religious belief but not from belief in God to non belief but rather to a deeper and totally indestructible belief. People who do not regularly frequent buildings owned by organised religions should not be included in statistics as people who do not believe in God.
Young Irish people see God everywhere they see good.

I have been asked to reflect upon the closely related
phenomena of consumerism and the objectification of women as they manifest themselves.
In many ways, these phenomena are an "old story": women reduced to flesh versus spirit or intellect. Many cultures around the globe and over time have
internalized this view of women; Continued Page 18

IDEOLOGY IN POLITICS STUDIES.
Under-coverage of Polish plane crash, on its way to mark Stalin’s murder of Polish Patriots, shows clearly that Cold War thinking still inhibits Irish journalism.
Research coverage/under-coverage and priority position of event in Sunday Independent, Sunday World, Sunday Tribune, Sunday Mirror etc.
MEDIA ANTI- FIANNA FAIL DRIVE HAS DESTROYED ABILITY TO THINK STRAIGHT.
OPPOSITION’S ECONOMIC POLICIES WILL PROLONG SOCIAL INEQUALITY.
There is a real threat to personal social advancement for disadvantaged people and families in Ireland. The threat comes from those who see their only hope of attaining power is to create social conflict while pretending to be socialist . This strategy has succeeded and can be observed in countries that have shunned electoral methods of change. High tax rates to punish achievers and reward supporters of state dependency parties causing the stagnation of social advancement for many.

BUILDING BOOM ENABLED THOUSANDS BECOME HOME-OWNERS
INSTEAD OF STATE DEPENDENTS.
The banks and building industry enabled hundreds of thousands of Irish people attain the goal of becoming home owners. This explains the rage of the political groupings and journalists that had the hope that larger numbers of Irish people would now be dependent on state accommodation and slaves of the left.
POOR THE VICTIMS OF MEDIA DUMBING DOWN
THE CAMPAIGN TO DEGRADE THE INTELLECT OF VOTERS INTENSIFIES IN MEDIA.
It is tragic to see the huge numbers of otherwise apparently intelligent people buying the dumped down material that is displayed in the space previously used for newspapers. As intelligent people stopped buying newspapers the market has now become a victim segment of people who desperately need to be protected from further attacks on their intellects.

British colonialism the real motivation for protestant ‘reformation’’.
created in part by cultural conditions that accept sex before marriage and infidelity after marriage. If the promotion of the liberal sexual culture succeeds in Ireland we will have similar epidemics. The logic of pushing this mentality in Ireland and its predictable outcomes should be answered by the sex for profit industries themselves.
Fact. Countries that live up to the Catholic and Islamic standards regarding abstinence before marriage and fidelity within marriage do not have the devastating death rates from AIDS that others have.
Fact. Excluding rare medical circumstances abortion is unnecessary. There is no total solution once a child is conceived outside the love of two committed parents. These unchangeable facts are not of Catholic or Islamic making, they are just bringing these facts to our attention.
